STK 3770 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle

The Chevrolet Chevelle SS is a legendary muscle car known for its powerful performance and iconic design. The Chevelle SS featured sleek and muscular exterior styling, distinctive SS badging and optional racing stripes. Inside, the car offered a comfortable and sporty interior with bucket seats and center console. The Chevelle SS is a highly sought after model, a combination of speed, style and American muscle car heritage. This 1970 SS is a classic example of that GM prominence. The Chevelle has benefited from a careful restoration and no detail was spared during the process. The stunning body was re-sprayed Cortez Silver with contrasting black SS sport stripping and 15” GM rally wheels. The restored interior is equipped with black vinyl bucket seats, Vintage Air, full console and a complete set of Dakota Digital analog gauges in the original dash cluster. Other features include power windows, an alarm system and an AudioSound AM/FM/CD/10-disc changer sound system. A custom car cover is also included.

Horsepower is provided by a GM ZZ4 350ci crate engine block that has been carefully built. It is equipped with a forged crank, Trick Flow 62cc aluminum heads, 1.46” dia. valve springs, hydraulic roller CompCam w/.510” lift, and Weiand Speed Warrior aluminum intake. Fuel is furnished by a Fast electronic fuel injection system and fire from an MSD ignition. A Concept One serpentine belt system was installed and exhaust is routed through stainless Hooker tube headers. Output is estimated at 430hp, probably somewhat conservative. The small-block is backed by GM Performance 4L60 4-speed automatic transmission w/Fast Technology transmission controller and 'Breakaway' 2,400rpm stall converter. A 9” Ford posi-traction differential holds 3.55:1 gearing. The chassis is equipped with power steering and power-assisted Wilwood 4-wheel discs manage stopping.
