Chevelle SS

Description

Motorcar Gallery is excited to offer you this incredible 1970 Chevelle SS396 Convertible!

This is one special car. It's a recipient of a very complete and costly nut and bolt, rotisserie restoration (receipts included, sorry no pics).

The body is flawless with good gaps and is super straight - look at those reflections down the side! The paint is a respray of its original color Cranberry Red (base coat / clear coat - code 75) and has a stunning Ivory (Parchment) pearl vinyl bench interior with black carpet (Trim code 790). The Chevelle's paint was done to show quality and is complete with all new bright work and stainless trim!

As you know, the 1970 Chevelle SS is considered to be Chevy's pinnacle A-body of the muscle car era.

This gleaming '70 is powered by a rebuilt 350hp #'s matching L34 402 big block. The 402 has a Rochester 4bbl car and original style exhaust manifolds which gives you GM reliability and low maintenance – and she runs great! The transmission is a column shifted Turbo 400 3-spd automatic and she shifts like new.

Factory options include N40 - Power Steering, JL2/J50 - Power Disc Brakes, F41 – Performance Suspension, G94 – 3:31 Ratio Rear axle (12 Bolt), M40 – T400 3spd Automatic Transmission, PL4 – F70X14 BW tires, U27 - Glove Box Light, U29 – Courtesy Light, U63 – Am Radio (AM-FM in the car currently), U76 – Windshield Antenna, ZL3 – SS396 Convertible, and last but not least, the Z25 – SS396 Package.

The interior bench seats are very comfortable, during the resto the seat cushions were re-foamed as well as new Legendary covers installed and is all new from the top to the carpets.

The car rides on new reproduction 15” Chevelle SS wheels and 15” Wide Oval Bias ply 70 series tires. The rear brakes have been upgraded to REAR DISC BRAKES to aid in the car's stopping power. Mechanically this SS drives nice and runs great. All new suspension and brake components, gas lines, brake lines, T3 Headlights, etc.

If you're in the market for a rotisserie restored, #'s matching, well documented '70 SS396 convertible wrapped in a very desirable color on a super clean and straight body, then this bad boy may just be what you're looking for!
