Nova Gasser Show Car 350 Cross Ram - 4spd
This 1963 Chevy II Gasser Nova is fready to cruise the streets or stop at your local track for some nostalgic fun. A gasser is a type of hot rod that grew in popularity until the early 70's. They are stripped of any extra weight and jacked up using a beam axle which provides better weight distribution during hard acceleration. With fiberglass body panels and stripped out interiors these cars were designed to go fast in a straight line. The name arose because they competed in a gasoline-fueled drag racing class, rather than one using methanol or nitromethane. This 63 Chevy II is somewhat of a hybrid that embraces certain qualities of the old Gassers. Typically Gassers are a little rough around edges due to the hard lives they live at the track. This car is a fresh build with less than 2000 miles on it since completion. The exterior has been painted in a beautiful gloss black with flames. Open the hood and see a modified small block motor. Starting life as the classic 350 4 bolt main. The cam gives it a nice race car idle and really comes to life in the Higher RPM's. A quick look in the cabin will reveal an interior much nicer than a normal Gasser would sport. The front buckets and rear seat have been cover in very tasteful gray materiel and features a full center console and rear seats the recline! Carpet has also been installed giving this Gasser a much plusher look than normal. After all, it is still a Gasser in every sense of the word, and these cars can become an instantaneous thrill ride at the press of the GO pedal. Staying true with the gasser mentality a Muncie 4 speed is controlled through a Hurst shifter with a tight shift pattern. If for some reason you were actually to get tired of listening to the glorious sound of the beastly engine, there is a nice AM/FM radio to listen to your favorite tunes. A true must see!
