Beautiful and Correct 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko Recreation
Here it is! A beautifully restored and recreated in homage to one of the most famous builders of the 1960's, Don Yenko. More than just a clone, this Yenko was carefully crafted to recreate the original Yenko as accurately as possible. This car is easily mistaken for one of the original 427ci Yenko Camaro's one could acquire through Yenko Chevrolet in 1969. Under the hood resides a freshly built period correct 427ci V8 tuned for performance. The car was built as close to the original specifications as possible, retaining 12.1 compression ratio, correct square port heads, correct intake manifold, new Holley 850 carburetor, L88 camshaft, recurved conventional point distributer, this car is as close as you can get to an original Yenko Camaro. Power from the 427 beast is managed by a M21 Muncie 4-Speed Transmission with a Hurst Shifter and delivered to the ground by a 12 Bolt Limited Slip rear axle. All mechanicals are presented as correctly as possible. All new brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, newly rebuilt suspension and steering make this beauty drive as new. Outside the Hugger Orange finish is complemented with the correct Yenko stripes and emblems. An immaculate white vinyl standard bucket seat interior is fully restored and presents new including correct Yenko badged headrests. A factory console houses the custom Hurst 4-Speed shifter.
