Frame Up Built Mustang Fastback 358/400 V8 Tremec 5 Speed Ford 9" Disc Brakes
When it comes to nearly universal appeal, few American cars bring it quite like the Ford Mustang. While a lot of its competitors placed an emphasis on speed, style, or some other singular piece of the puzzle, the Mustang did its best to be everything to everyone while providing a solid foundation to build upon. While almost all the dials have been turned up, this restored 1965 Mustang continues to be a car that virtually any enthusiast could hop behind the wheel of and have an absolute blast. From the stout 358ci V8 and Tremec 5-speed manual to the vibrant orange exterior and restored pony interior, everyone who has a chance to eye the car in person will find something different to admire. Originally leaving the factory as a 2-door standard fastback equipped with a modest 289 C-code V8, today it sits as one an extremely custom Mustang. Hoist this fastback's snug fitting hood and you'll find a Ford 351 Cleveland V8 that has been overbored to 358 cubic inches to create plenty of true Ford power. The beneficiary of an extensive build, the 358 sounds incredible and produces an estimated 400hp with similar torque numbers. At the top of the cast iron mill, a Holley 4 barrel carburetor is fed air through an aluminum Shelby inspired air filter. At the sides of the air filter chrome Ford racing valve covers provide some nice pop to the engine bay. The bottom of this awesome Mustang is just as impressive as its slick exterior and smooth engine bay. Behind the mean motor you'll find a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission that sends power to a tried and true Ford 9-inch rear axle. Open the door to this pristine '65 Mustang and you'll find a fully restored cockpit that mixes the best elements of the 'Pony Interior' with standard black vinyl that provides an exceptionally attractive starting point. The factory Deluxe interior bucket seats wear new pleated Pony covers between new chrome hardware; and the dash looks like it came straight out of the box yesterday morning.
