Vintique Motors is thrilled to present this 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Coupe.

The Ford and Carroll Shelby collaboration started in the early 1960's and fizzled out in the late 1960's but would come back full force with the 2007 Mustang Shelby GT500. It came to play sporting a 330ci 5.4L supercharged and intercooled V8 producing 500hp at 6,000 rpm and 480 lb.ft. of torque at 4,500 rpm hooked to a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission. It was based on the S197 Mustang platform released in 2005, however, it was given styling tweaks retro to the late '60's Shelby Mustangs and it looked fantastic.

This example is finished in vapor silver metallic with black stripes over a black leather interior. In 2008 Ford produced 8,583 GT500's in which 6,513 were coupes. Of the 6,513 coupes produced; 971 were finished in vapor silver metallic and 930 with black stripes which was the only stripe color available with vapor silver metallic. GT500's came essentially loaded, however, as options go this example is optioned with the HID headlights and Shaker 1,000 audio system with 6-disc storage and MP3 capability.

From the Carfax it is shown to be sold new by Towne Automotive Group in Buffalo, New York on 7/29/2008 and subsequently bounced around from a short-term collector in Oklahoma to three different dealers based in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. It finally found a long-term owner on 2/16/2012 being sold by Waxahachie Ford in Waxahachie, Texas with a reported 4,336 miles until subsequently being acquired by a dealer on 4/13/2016 with a reported 49,262 miles. It then found its way into the hands of a couple short term owners (less than 1 year each) and a couple stops at dealerships all in Texas. It finally came to Michigan on 3/15/2019 after it was sold by one of the Texas dealers to a Michigan resident and today it presents with 56,740 miles.

It presents very well today with only a handful of minor blemishes from over the years and is nearly all stock aside for a Ford Racing shifter and exhaust. It comes complete with it's original books and manuals, both sets of keys with working fobs, window sticker, and SVT Certificate.
