Stock Number: 1802 - This is a full numbers matching Y82 Special Edition Trans AM. This is the car that made the movie Smokey and the Bandit famous. It is 1 of 2,699 built with the Hi-Output W72 400ci Engine and a 4 Speed Manual transmission. The car was sold new at Borton Motors in Rochester, MN. It is an older restoration that runs and drives well. The Starlight Black Paint and Gold Decals are in nice driver plus condition. The dash and interior show very well. This is a rare vehicle and really represents the Holley Grail of '77 Trans AM's. This is the one everyone wants. It is also optioned with the very desirable W72 High Output 400ci - V8 and 4 Speed Manual transmission. Both are numbers matching original to the car. Of course it has the Famous Hurst T-Tops and Gold accents that identify this as a Y82 Trans AM. This is also confirmed by the PHS Factory Invoice. There are some rust issues as shown in the photos, but nothing that would prevent you from driving and having fun with the car. There have been several '77 SE's sell at auctions for well over $100k. This is priced well below those numbers and that leaves you plenty of room for improvements while you are enjoying this rare Trans AM.
