1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
Run Day - Saturday June 1, 2024
This 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is a true “Survivor”. Fully unrestored with less than 12,000 actual miles since new. The car was purchased new in '81 in Blackwell, Oklahoma by Mr. and Mrs. Willis for their son Joe. By the spring of '83, it was clear that the car was too nice to be in a college parking lot all the time, and so they sold it to a David J. Zimmerman who lovingly cared for and stored the car in his garage for 40 years until finally letting it go in the summer of 2023. Similar to Joe Willis, David felt that the car was too nice to be parked at your run-of-the-mill locations in town being drooled on by all the locals, and so he decided to retire the car in his garage back in the mid 80s. Therefore, the original paint is in fantastic condition, and the interior is not only extremely handsome but a true time capsule back to 1981. This is a nicely optioned car too, featuring a 350 small-block V8, automatic transmission, T-tops, factory air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, factory tinted windows, Posi rear end, gold cast-aluminum wheels, AM/FM stereo with cassette, Sandstone tri-color interior, and Z28 performance and decor packages. The 1985 inspection sticker is still attached on the windshield, and, other than new tires and mufflers (installed in 2023), this car is about as close to factory original as you will find. This is one to bid on!
