This 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix was initially sold at Community Motors, Inc. of Oak Forest, Illinois, on July 22, 1977, and spent time in Illinois and Iowa before being acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. Finished in Mandarin Orange over beige leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Yellow body-side moldings are fitted and equipment includes painted pinstripes, power steering, power front disc brakes, 15″ Rally II wheels, air conditioning, a Delco push-button AM/FM stereo, and power windows and locks. This Grand Prix is now offered with a build sheet, a window sticker, manufacturer's literature, a 2022 service record and initial purchase documents.
The car is finished in Mandarin Orange and features yellow bodyside moldings and painted pinstripes. Details include a hood ornament, chrome bumpers, rubber bumper guards, sport side mirrors, quad rectangular headlights, and a fuel filler concealed behind the rear license plate holder. Paint blemishes are displayed in the gallery.
Silver 15″ Rally II wheels wear bright trim rings and Pontiac-branded center caps and are mounted with 215/75 Vector whitewall tires. A non-matching spare is located in the trunk. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The front calipers, brake rotors, and pads were replaced in 2022.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in beige leather. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and door panels, and equipment includes air conditioning, power windows and door locks, and a Delco push-button AM/FM stereo.
The three-spoke steering wheel features woodgrain trim and frames a 100-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel level gauge. The brake warning light remains on at all times. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 51k miles.
The 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque and is equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and a black air cleaner assembly. The fuel system was drained and the alternator, water pump, and spark plugs were replaced in 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed Turbo Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The transmission pan gasket was replaced in 2022.
The window sticker lists factory colors, options, and a total amount of $6,699. A spare steering column, a build sheet, a 2022 service record, manufacturer's literature, and initial purchase documents accompany the vehicle.
