Description

STK 3771 1971 Dodge Charger Super Bee

The Dodge Super Bee was a part of the second generation of iconic muscle cars introduced by MOPAR in 1968. The Super Bee was based on the Dodge Charger platform and was designed to compete with other high-performance vehicles of the era. The Super Bee underwent a redesign in 1971, the last year for the model. featuring a new front grille and taillights as well as a more streamlined appearance. This classic Super Bee is a beautiful, low mileage survivor that has benefited from a partial restoration that included a paint and interior refresh. (A comprehensive Auto Appraisal Network report from 06/23 is included.) The body was carefully prepped and refinished in 2-stage 'Dark Green Metallic', the factory color. All chrome/stainless is outstanding and accents include hide-away headlights, a functional Air Grabber hood w/hood pins, Super Bee stripping and 15” Mopar rallye wheels that mount Mickey Thompson performance radials. The interior is in overall very good condition. Many of the components appear to be original pieces, but the seats have been reupholstered. Carpeting, dash, door cards and headliner all present well. The Dodge is equipped with an AM radio, analog gauges and a center console w/pistol grip shifter. Horsepower is furnished by a 383ci wedge that was rated at 300hp when equipped with a Carter AVS 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhaust. A Chrysler A833 4-speed manual transmission transfers power to a 8-3/4” differential w/factory gearing. The chassis was equipped with power steering and power disc/drum brakes. Front suspension is Chrysler's traditional torsion bar design and leaf springs are used in the rear. There are very few of these Super Bee models around today - fewer still in this grand condition. This classic Dodge will look very stately in your MOPAR garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD “AS IS”.
