1969 Camaro SS 396
Car History
Sometimes you can find a restored collector car that just is over-the-top and like no other one you have ever seen!
The 1969 Camaro SS 396 we have here at Adventure Classics is not only stunning beyond pictures or the description here, with its bright red paint and matching interior, but it also has a very fast and powerful matching numbers 396 cubic inch big block Chevy under its hood.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Camaro was built and restored by C & C Rod Shop and has the 396 cubic inch performance Chevrolet big block engine sitting in a gorgeous, meticulous, painted and detailed engine compartment you will have to see to believe.
The engine has that exact factory look as it came from the assembly line, only better looking now than it ever was back then.
It has the Chevrolet orange paint on the block and intake, with chrome factory look valve covers, chrome open element air cleaner assembly with the 396 emblem decal, performance carb, factory cast iron exhaust, performance ignition and spark plugs and wires, high-volume custom aftermarket radiator, factory air conditioning, power steering and brakes.
It has all the correct factory hoses, plumbing, and accessories and if you look close you can see the front suspension has been given a complete changeover to an aftermarket system. The power is processed to the 12-bolt rear by the factory Chevy automatic transmission.
Interior
The interior is an all-red striking sight. First it has custom upholstered front bucket seats with matching rear seats. The interior is all restored and again, it looks better than when it left the factory with the red door panels, carpet, floor mats, custom tilt steering wheel, seat belts, console with the Horseshoe Grip shifter, and headliner.
The black factory dash has been upgraded with new gauges including a tachometer and 160 M.P.H. speedometer and houses all the factory controls including the air conditioning.
Exterior
Our fully restored 1969 Camaro had the repaint in bright red paint that flows over the car and its SS twin scoop hood, rear spoiler, roof, and tight-fitting panels that is simply stunning. Lets not forget the RS/SS front grille with the retractable headlights, chrome trim, rear valance panel and all Camaro and SS badging that are great looking too.
The complete underside has been painted and detailed and looks as good as the engine compartment and exterior too and it rides on Billet Specialties custom 5-spoke wheels with Pirelli high performance radial and tires, and Wilwood disc brakes.
Conclusion
You might never see a restored 1969 Camaro SS 396 as nice as the one we have here at Adventure Classics. It really is hard to calculate all the time, money, and engineering that has went into it.
It is certainly one of the nicest 1969 Camaros you will ever find and it can be yours today
