GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1965 Mustang Convertible for sale. Powered by a 200 Ci inline 6-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission, this Ford mustang sends all power to the rear wheels. Complementing the exterior is the red vinyl interior showing minimal wear, that features aftermarket black floor mats. Highlights include bucket seats, floor-mounted shifter, chrome bumpers, and original chrome wheel covers on 14in wheels, among other features. The power soft top goes up and retracts as it should. This car starts well, runs well, and drives well. Overall the car is in wonderful condition throughout. Please call or email with any questions or for additional information on this 1965 Mustang Convertible.
The Ford Mustang along with the Falcon in which the very first Mustangs received the same power plant was slotted into the compact car arena and was designed and built under the direct command of Lee Iacocca. The Mustangs styling with its longer hood and short decklid proved to be an instant success and brought an onslaught of competition. The first generation from 1964-1973 offered three different body styles; the hard-top, convertible and later the first year was the fastback which was extremely popular and sold very well. As the Mustang gained popularity, Ford offered different engine options and packages that could be purchased.
