Very well kept, one family owned from brand new! Specially ordered with all the exact options they wanted. Fitted with air conditioning, variable-ratio power steering, power disc brakes, automatic transmission, and more! Only 60,000 original miles and100% numbers matching!
The muscle car market was already starting to feel the pressure of raising fuel and insurance costs, so sales were started to decline. At Pontiac, the GTO continued to lead the way for the performance savvy buyer. New for 1970 would be there fresh to the front end highlighting the four individual headlamps, still wrapped inside the Endura urethane bumper. New stiffer front and added rear sway bars enhanced the cornering capabilities, along with new variable-ratio power steering giving further ease to steering along with a shorter turning radius. Engine options continued with high horsepower output, and options remained abundant to personalize your GTO anyway you preferred! We are proud to have this one family owned 1970 Pontiac GTO Hardtop on our showroom. It is finished in its factory appointed color of Polar White (10) with Dark Gold Cordova top (H) and Brown upholstery (253). Under the hood lies the factory original, number's matching 400ci V8 producing 350 horsepower and column-shifted Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, mated to an economy3.23 axle ratio. All of which have traveled just 60,492 actual miles! Options on this special GTO include air conditioning, power front disc brakes, variable-ratio power steering, all Soft-Ray window glass, AM radio with windshield antenna, 14" Rally II wheels with raised white letter tires, tilt column, and front floor mats!
A remarkable example that has always been garage kept from new, after being purchased from Thomas Pontiac, Inc here in St. Louis, MO. It has received only one repaint over the years. More recently, the car was treated to a complete mechanical freshening that included all new fuel tank, tank straps & isolators, fuel sending unit, fuel filter, all new shocks, new BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, all new engine fluids, replacement radiator hoses &clamps, new alternator & battery, and rebuilt & charged a/c system. It starts perfectly easy, idles wicked smooth, shifts without hesitation, brakes dead straight, and simply runs excellent! Very impressive in every respect with everything fully functional! It will come with owner's manual, PHS documentation, and all tire changing equipment fitted in the trunk with new mat and spare tire cover. Please feel free to call with additional questions or to schedule a chance to review this unique GTO in person.
