1994 Pontiac Firebird For Sale
1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo For Sale
The Monte Carlo was originally conceived as Chevy's counterpart to the new G-body Pontiac Grand Prix. Much of the body and structure came from the Chevelle, but the styling of the contemporary Cadillac Eldorado also showed through with a long hood, wider C-pillars and muscular fender bulges in the rear. Most were powered by a 350 small block V-8 mated to a three-speed transmission. The SS 454 was the top of the line performance package available, although they accounted for less than 3 percent of the Monte Carlos production that year. 1971 saw only modest styling upgrades. 1971 was also the year that Chevrolet began rating horsepower by both gross and net. In 1972 the Monte Carlo received an egg crate grille styling similar to the Caprice and additional rear trim molding. 1972 was the final year for the 1st generation design, and the last year of the SS option package. Power steering became standard equipment, and the four-speed manual transmission option was deleted. The Monte Carlo was moving away from a performance car and into the personal luxury vehicle market.
This 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo is a one family owned with just over 62,000 miles. It has a 350 V8 with an automatic transmission. Has power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The vehicle does run and drive. White exterior with a blue interior and dark blue vinyl top. All four wheels are original with the original hubcaps. Original spare is in the trunk with the jack and other related items. Very solid car. Has the original blue and yellow plates. It has always been a California car and was garage kept. Clean title. This vehicle is complete.
The interior is in good shape. Has manual windows and they roll up and down without any issues. Has the factory bench seat. All the glass is there and in good condition. The dash is in great shape with no cracks. Original owners manual is there. The chrome is all there and in good condition. The car is a garage find that has been unrestored. Great car that would be a lot of fun to drive.
