Restored GT350 Fastback 302 V8 4 speed Rare Color Combo
Restored GT350 Fastback 302 V8 4 speed Rare Color Combo ///
Fully documented by Marti Auto Works, this registry-listed GT350 was one of the first Shelbys assembled for 1968. Presently, the car rolls as a fully-sorted head turner that packs a superb 302/4-speed drivetrain in a correct Saddle interior and correct Acapulco Blue paint. And if you're in the market for a blue chip classic that's the perfect fit for sunny show fields and world class collections, it's the pedigreed nobility you've been patiently waiting for! One of only 48 Acapulco Blue and Saddle fastbacks produced in 1968, this striking GT350 was shipped to Kirkwood, Missouri as one of two identical cars sold through Yates-Stevens Ford. After four decades of excellent maintenance and spirited driving, the car benefitted from a highly detailed, frame-off rebuild that reworked all its panels into smooth and solid surfaces. And once those surfaces were fully prepped, correct Acapulco Blue base was buried in a thick clear and dressed in sporty “G.T.350” side stripes. Completely rebuilt during the extensive restoration, the car's 302 cubic inch Windsor V8 is correct to the 1968 model year. Behind that legendary mill, a correct Toploader 4-speed spins a rugged Ford 9-inch that's fitted with beefy, 3.89 gears. Red Oxide floors ride a fully rebuilt suspension that mixes factory power steering with power front disc and rear drum brakes. And at the edges of the car, retrofitted 10-spoke alloys spin correct E70-15 Goodyear Speedway 350s. Between the doors, a mostly-original Deluxe Saddle interior contrasts well to the car's tasteful paint. Plush seats present virtually no evidence of wear and tear. A handsome dash hangs a correct 140 MPH speedometer next to a correct 8,000 RPM tachometer. Beneath that dash, a Cobra-branded console frames a requisite Hurst shifter. And the driver spins an ornate Shelby steering wheel around a desirable Tilt-Away column. Call, click or visit www.RKMotors.com for more information!
