“Fiery Bird”
The Pontiac Firebird was first introduced in 1967 and continued through 2002. The Trans-Am shared the platform with the Chevrolet Camaro and they were soon instant hits with the consumer. Through the years, the Trans-Am cars were powered by various four-cylinder, six-cylinder and V8 engines. The fourth generation cars were built from 1993 through the discontinuation in 2002. This generation of the F-body continued the aerodynamic formula initiated by the previous generation. The Camaro kept the exposed headlights and the Firebird its pop-up units, with some minor changes. In 1998 the car received a face lift dominated by a new front fascia that now had four pop-up headlights vs. the two from before. It also had some other minor body changes. Powered by a 305hp LT1 5.7L V8, the Trans Am could hit 60mph in 5.1 seconds and go on to 160mph.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this nice 1998 Trans Am for your consideration. Finished in Black Clearcoat, this car has a very nice body and good paint. The convertible top is in great shape and has a clean glass rear window. Other exterior features include fog lights, chrome 16in alloy wheels with Hankook tires, power antenna, dual exhaust and honeycomb tailights. The interior is nice and features grey leather seats that are in nice shape. The seats are powered and the car also has power windows, power top, power mirror, power locks, power brakes, ABS, power steering, stereo, and air conditioning.
The car is recently out of 19 year long ownership. All of the features appear to be functioning correctly and the car has been well cared for. The LT1 V8 is a solid performer and the automatic transmission shifts smooth. Comes with owners manuals, two keys, and the removable boot cover.
