Ford was getting ready to celebrate the 30th anniversary for what was being referred to as “America's favorite ponycar” in 1994 and had a whole new model gated for production. The 1994 had a lot to live up to as it was following well over six million Mustangs that were built before it and with a low budget (considering the usual stockpiles of cash they have for other models). With that in mind, Ford went ahead and brought back the ever popular Foxbody platform with a few updates to improve it and the rest is history. With a major redesign, plenty of availability for its upgrades which were sure to happen to it and a new edge body style, this fourth generation went on to be one of the more customized and modified racing platforms than any other in the market for its time.

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1994 Ford Mustang GT Convertible which, although we will call it a GT for the sake of accuracy of what it began as, this is certainly a lot more than what meets the eye! Showing to be a one-family car, the gentleman who purchased this vehicle new had bigger and better plans for it. From the exterior, you can see some nice touches to the looks of it including its fiberglass “Boss” hood in flat black, smoked headlight kit was added, a fresh soft top was installed just this year and hosts the beige color, red cobra calipers can be found on the front wheels and we are told it was stored indoors as soon as winter arrived which shows when looking at its very clean underside. The interior has seen its improvements as well including Ford Racing seats for the front and custom upholstery completed by American Auto Upholstery, an aftermarket AM/FM/CD/USB media center from Kenwood and a nice Hurst gear shift knob for its new powertrain.

The best part of this Mustang isn't even the outside appearance or the comfort of the custom interior, it's the mechanical side that really sets this one apart from the rest. As mentioned before, the gentleman who owned this was looking for much more than its standard 5.0L engine and its automatic transmission. Professionally built and installed, this sleeper hosts a 4.6L supercharged 4-V Cobra engine which was installed by Livernois Motorsports out of Dearborn, MI with the Kenne-Bell supercharger coming from Paul's Hi-Performance out of Jackson, MI, has an all new rear end to allow the upgraded 5-Speed manual transmission and is as good as it gets!
