SEMA Featured Mustang Pro Touring 427/600 HP V8 T-5 5 Speed 9" 3.73
Fully detailed and ready to rumble, this '65 Mustang fastback is the beneficiary of a fresh, $300K restoration that transformed it into a national award winning pro-tourer! Steal a glance at this Mustang's super slick body and you'll see what high quality craftsmanship that's performed by a dedicated group of individuals truly looks like. Those individuals knuckle down at a place called Thoroughbred in Canfield, Ohio. And, over the course of 2,600 hours, they transformed what was a tired, 50-year old mule into a SEMA featured Goodguys winner. Hoist this coupe's snug fitting hood and you'll find 427 cubic inches of stroked V8 that was professionally assembled by the pros at TNT Engineering. Combining Ford's proven 351 Windsor block with almost $17K worth of parts and labor, this buff welterweight wraps a Carrillo forged crank, SCAT H-Beam rods and forged Probe pistons in a full array of show stopping aesthetics. Behind that mean motor you'll find a T5 5-speed that's wedged between a hydraulic, dual-friction clutch and blowproof bellhousing. Lift the third pedal and that custom gearbox engages a narrowed G2 Ford axle that spins big, 3.73 gears. Stopping is a cinch thanks to Wilwood 6-piston calipers, which squeeze 13-inch slotted rotors. In front of the transmission, tubular Anthony Jones Engineering control arms and adjustable Anthony Jones Engineering coil-overs augment Ford power rack-and-pinion steering. At the sides of the rear end, an Anthony Jones Engineering 4-link is fitted with two more adjustable Anthony Jones Engineering coil-overs. And at the corners of the car, coated Budnik G-Series wheels spin 225/40R18 Nitto Invos in front of 275/35ZR18 Nitto Invos. Looking for a fully sorted classic that's scary fast and an absolute blast to show? Call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com for more information on this stunning Mustang!
