Frame Off Restored Gulf Turquoise GTO 400 V8 Muncie 4 Speed 10 Bolt PS PB
The beneficiary of a professional, frame-off restoration, this super cool GTO is a perfect blend of good craftsmanship and great attention to detail. With a solid body present and accounted for, the car was carefully straightened and sanded into better-than-new condition. Once that comprehensive metalwork transitioned from the garage bay to the paint booth, classic '60s panels were re-sprayed in their correct GM code K Gulf Turquoise. When that paint dried, it was sealed in clear and buffed to a clean, flat shine. And today, officially unleashed as the epitome of old school American style, this goat is one seriously cool head turner that can drop jaws just as easily as it can win trophies. Raise the car's long steel hood and the first thing you'll notice is a raucous 400 that's been completely rebuilt and layered in attractive Turquoise paint. Less obvious, of course, is that stalwart V8's correct 86133 casting number, November (K) 6th (06), 1966 (6) casting date and 335 horsepower, 4-speed-exclusive “WT” assembly stamp. A bored version of Pontiac's 'Trophy 389', this legendary block, which is good for 335 horsepower and 441 lb./ft. of pavement-charring torque, continued the brand's theme of producing purpose-built performance engines. That stout 400 sends power to a stalwart Muncie transmission, which is coded as a Muncie (P) assembled on October (R ) 11th (11) 1966 for the 1967 (7) model year. That proven gearbox spins a tough GM 10-bolt that's stuffed with gravel-busting gears. At the sides of that rock-solid drivetrain, a fully rebuilt suspension is complete with factory-optioned power steering and heavy duty power drum brakes. And muscle meets the pavement via 15-inch Pontiac Rally IIs, which spin 215/70 BF Goodrich Silvertown redlines around chrome trim rings and red PMD center caps. This awesome GTO is an impressive muscle car that features an ideal blend of performance and style. If you've been patiently waiting for the opportunity to pick up an excellent example of the ORIGINAL muscle car, call, click or visit http://RKMotorsCharlotte.com today!
