Up for Sale this week, Canyon State Classics brings to market a super clean 1965 Mustang 2+2 Fastback that was an original C code factory 4-speed order new and even was ordered with optional rally pack tach and clock combo! This car is not only a wonderfully well documented with all original sales documents and order sheets as well as years of maintenance history, longtime ownership fastback.....it is also a no expense spared rotisserie restoration with all of the best performance components you could think of! The body on this little beauty is a solid and beautifully restored from top to bottom. Correct Red Oxide primer was applied after the entire car was torn down to a shell and body worked. The door, hood and rear deck gaps are straight and even and factory original. The finish is a very sharp and appealing, and will be perfect for car shows or just to drive and enjoy! The chrome and trim is exceptionally sharp with no pitting and virtually no dings or dents. The windshield as well as most of the rubber seals on the car are also fresh and new. The car features the side vent chrome as well as a Mustang GT rear valance with the straight through trumpet exhaust.
The interior is very sharp and has been redone with all OEM spec materials and color. The vinyl is in very nice shape and brand new. The carpeting is nice and the dash gauges are clean and bright. All the gauges work as they should and the rRally Pac is fully fumctional. Even the original ford wood steering wheel is crack free and in great shape. The car also still has the plush Lloyds floor mats.
Mechanically, this little Mustang is in great shape and it runs and drives almost like a new car! It is apparent that it has never been used and abused or molested in any way and was always well maintained! The engine runs strong and smooth and the transmission shifts as it should. The motor does have a cam installed along with that upgraded intake manifold and holly efi. The motor compartment is clean a correct and in show quality condition. Everything under the engine compartment is to factory specs and all correct decals are present. The car has a lowered stance thanks to Koni adjustable coil over suspension up front and Koni classic shocks on back holding that big 9" custom red end and Wilwood brakes in place. This is one of the nicest running and driving mustangs we have seen in a long time. Once again this is a nut and bolt all new lines, harnesses, bushings and hardware.
