Description

If you're in the market for a blue chip muscle car that's as much fun to drive as it is to show, there's no place like the cockpit of this rare GTO! The recent beneficiary of a highly detailed, frame-off restoration, this super slick GTO wears correct GM code 67 Castillian Bronze urethane under a rugged clearcoat shell. Back in 1971, the car was ordered through Crown Pontiac of St. Petersburg, Florida and delivered to Audrey P. Lieb looking almost as good as it does today. Sight down the sides of its spectacular body and you'll find straight panels that feature better-than-factory fit. On top of those panels, a deep and rich finish, which displays no sign of waviness or major defects, has been buffed to an eye-popping shine. And overall, this Pontiac is one clean, lust-worthy classic that looks great idling across the show field or hammering down the highway! Pop the hood on this awesome GTO and you'll find an original, 400 cubic inch Pontiac V8 that's branded with a familiar 481988 casting number, a correct “WK” engine stamp and a matching 119840 partial VIN. Behind that engine, a correct Muncie M20 4-speed sends power through a fresh driveshaft to big 3.55 gears and a rebuilt Safe-T-Track rear end. The car's Firm Ride double A-arm front and 4-link rear suspension has been completely restored with correct variable-ratio power steering, factory power brakes and correct GTO sway bars. And at the corners of that suspension, 15 inch Pontiac Rally II wheels spin modern 225/70 Goodyear Eagle GTIIs around red-lettered “PMD” center caps. With its solid restoration and numbers-matching V8, nothing will interfere with this GTO being both a weapon on the street and a winner in the show field!
