Frame Up Built Shelby GT350 4.6L Supercharged 5 Speed
If you're in the market for classic good looks and spectacular modern performance, your search is officially over! When the owner of this awesome '67 Mustang set his dream build in motion he wanted a solid foundation that could be transformed into one of the best all-around Shelby tributes on the planet; and after a few months of searching, he found part of the car you see here. I say part because, during a highly detailed reboot, this '67 Mustang's body was essentially grafted to a 2004 Mustang GT chassis. And, while I'm not certain the car's construction was literally that cut and dry, its straight body panels certainly hide many modern Mustang pieces. Pop this sweet looking Mustang's lightweight fiberglass hood and the car transforms from classic to state of the art in literally the blink of an eye. Looking completely natural between a pair of body-matched shock towers is a supercharged SOHC 'mod motor' which was donated by a generous 2004 Mustang GT. Behind the blown motor you'll find a stalwart Tremec 3550 5-speed that's connected to a rebuilt Ford 10 bolt rear end; both of which appear to be from the same 2004 Mustang GT donor car as the engine. At the front of that drivetrain, an aftermarket sub-frame hangs modern coil over shocks between sturdy tubular control arms, a thick sway bar and a power rack and pinion steering system, which also appears to be from the 2004 Mustang GT donor car. At the back of the drivetrain, a triangulated four link suspension utilizes tubular sub-frame connectors and a 2004 Ford Mustang GT sway bar to supply excellent grip. And power is thrown to the pavement via 17 inch Ford alloy wheels which spin 215/45 Goodyear Eagle ST radials in front of 255/45 Goodyear Eagle F1 radials. With an authentic Shelby appearance and a modern Mustang feel, this GT350 combines the style and class of yesterday with some of the best performance technology of today.
