Car #8 Mr. Bill's 1967 Pro Touring GTO
Mr. Bill's GTO, started with its factory chassis, that we have since upgraded to all tubular suspension, boxed the chassis as well as added a custom center section to both help add strength and run the exhaust through for added ground clearance. The car is being upgraded to a LS basis motor and 4L60E transmission for drivability. The body was pretty ruff once it came back from the blaster and needed a load of new Body panels. The car has since gotten, both lower front door channels below the hinges (all made here in the shop), Full Floors and all Floor Braces, Both Toe Boards, Both inner and outer Rockers on both sides, Full Trunk, Full Tail Panel, Both inner and outer Rear Wheel Tubs on both sides, and Both Full length Quarters. Since the main body got all new sheet metal we have moved on to New doors and front fenders on both side. We have been fighting issues with the doors and fenders not fitting properly, note that this first set is from Goodmark. Without cutting and making these doors and fenders work we have took them off the car and got a new pair to test on the driver side from AMD, these fit amazingly and appear to only need a little work to align and gap. The main body is in high build primer now being blocked so stay tuned as this car moves closer to being finished, and I upload more progress pics and descriptions.
