Our GT is powered by a Ford 4.6L SOHC V8 with EFI injection rated at 225bhp and 285 lb/ft of torque. This stout powerplant has a cast iron block with aluminum heads and is backed by an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission. The refined suspension of the '98 Mustang GT resulted in improved handling and a more comfortable ride. Thanks to chassis stiffening, progressive rate springs, longer control arms and anti-roll bars, the GT was capable of producing a skid pad number of 0.81g.
