1974 Trans AM - Jim Wangers Race Car - Pontiac History on Wheels, NHRA Sportsman
Stock Number: 1195 - Just Into our inventory. One of the Nine cars we purchased from the Tournier Collection from St. Paul, Minnesota. These are elite cars and some lucky new owner will have an amazing car to call their own. This is such a cool car. Imagine the fun going to car shows and displaying this piece of Pontiac Racing History. It is in amazing condition looking pretty much exactly as it did when it was blazing down the strip years ago.
It started life as Jim's daily driver for many years and it saw its fair share of Street Racing before being modified to run NHRA Sportman Class. It was also used for Promotional purposes and was featured in the 1974 Brochure. This car was running in the mid 9's back when Jim was taking the car to the track. The car does have a Role-Cage installed and provisions for NOS - (Nitrous). There is a copy of the Title showing James Wangers as the owner. This is a piece of Pontiac History that has been preserved.
The car does not have an engine or transmission currently. It does have the original drive-shaft and Headers. It also has it's original Center-line racing wheels with rear mounted slicks. We have Engine and Transmission combinations available to install for you if you would like us to get the car fully functional for you. As it is impossible to tell how the next owner will use the car, we decided to leave it as we received it so that the next owner can customize to his own specifications.
