1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 four-speed, a very nicely restored and well-sorted example presented in the stunning color combination of silver over red interior. This Camaro underwent a complete restoration from 2014 to 2016; panels are straight with excellent gaps, hood alignment and door fitment (it only requires fingertip effort to close them). Superb paint quality with new rubbers and trim and very nice glass. Nicely detailed underneath and under the hood. BF Goodrich Silvertown Radial redlines have 2018 date codes and show virtually no wear.
Interior presents beautifully and has been fully restored with all new materials (per the trim tag, this car was originally white over red so the red interior is correct -- and it looks fantastic). A RetroSound stereo provides modern functionality while still maintaining a vintage appearance. The rear seat belt receivers are still wrapped in plastic and have never been used. It's the little items and attention to detail that set this car apart -- for example, the quarter vent windows as well as the regulators for the door and rear quarter windows have all been restored for good sealing and easy operation.
Under the hood is a date-correct (but not numbers-matching) 396 cubic inch V8 from 1967 mated to a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt positraction rear end with 3.31 gears. The factory 396/325 was fully rebuilt in 2016 to 350 hp spec with a Lunati Voodoo cam, a Holley 650 four-barrel carb with vacuum secondaries and electric choke, Edelbrock aluminum intake and electronic ignition. Of course all accessories and cooling system components are new. Flowmaster exhaust. Optioned with power steering and power brakes (front disk), all suspension, steering and brake components were overhauled or replaced during the restoration.
This Camaro runs great, sounds great and pulls strong -- it's very fun to drive with that characteristic big block torque, but not so high strung that it's actively trying to kill you. A reproduction owner's manual plus stacks of restoration records are included.
