1965 Ford Mustang Convertible
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible. This Mustang is an attractive driver presented in the timeless color combination of Candy Apple Red over Palomino interior with a Parchment convertible top. This is a well-optioned car with V8, automatic transmission, disk brakes and a power top. Garage-kept by the same owner for the last 16 years. The car was repainted and got a brand new convertible top about eight years ago; the finish remains in nice driver condition with only minor flaws from normal use. Solid underneath with no known rust issues. Convertible top still looks brand new. The Palomino interior is a nice departure from the more commonly seen Parchment. Seats, door panels, dash and wood steering wheel are all in nice condition.
The C-code two-barrel 289 cubic inch V8 car was rebuilt shortly before the current owner's purchase, and the C4 automatic transmission was also overhauled. The owner estimates fewer than 5,000 miles on these major drivetrain components; recent service within the last two years includes a full brake job and a new alternator. We at Motorcar Studio have driven dozens of first-gen Mustangs and the engine feels as stronger than most C-code 289s and the transmission shifts unusually well (crisply but smoothly, and at just the right rpm). Steering and brakes feel good, too, and we actually like the improved feedback of the manual steering and manual disk brakes.
Few classic cars are as approachable and easy to own as a vintage Mustang, and few are more fun than a Mustang convertible. For more information about this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible for sale at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.
