2014 Ford Mustang GT Coupe
For consignment, a 2014 Ford Mustang GT coupe with a title verified 46,139 actual miles. This sinister and stock appearing pony has a few mods tucked in its saddle bags to improve power, stopping and handling.
Note: This vehicle is sold with a Pennsylvania reconstructed branding on the title
Exterior
In 1995, Chevy's ad for the Impala SS read, “Lord Vadar, your car is ready” and maybe Darth needed a new car in 2014 and this monochromatic black GT would have done the trick! There's almost nothing veering from the black coverage other than the iconic 5.0 fender emblems and the simulated gas filler cap in back. 18-inch multi spoked wheels stick to the design plan and the entire front fascia, including the grille with inboard discs, is black save for the westbound running horse. Hood vents let the stallion breathe, louvers cover the quarter windows, and a rear spoiler sends expelled air skyward over the smoked tail lights and chrome exhaust tips. Imperfections are few and include some crazing of clearcoat on a rear fender and gravel chips along a lower panel.
Interior
Cleanly molded and simple black plastic door panels with speakers present in just about new condition and we're likely to see similar conditions throughout. Black leather bucket seats with red inserts create an eye popping contrast and other than some wear on the driver's seat present in nice condition with the 2+2 seating in the back is colored in the same pattern and materials and provides some cozy seating as well as pull down seat backs for trunk expansion. A fat leather wrapped steering wheel holds the radio and cruise control buttons and fronts a pair of gauges backlit in blue, somewhat retro in their font choice and a speedometer that reaches 160 mph. In the center stack, a flat presentation with a pewter faceplate offers up an AM/FM/CD radio, climate controls, and a large screen to relay the information. A stout MGW shifter, black with red stripes, is in the center console and low pile black carpet presents cleanly as does the soft charcoal molded headliner above. The trunk is finished with gray cloth panels and is spotless.
Drivetrain
Under the hood, Ford's venerable 5.0 liter Coyote V8, here with an SCT tuner providing a VMP tune and stock tune. The powerplant is rated at 420 horsepower and is adorned with a cold air intake kit while the 6-speed manual MT82 transmission is fitted with a McLeod clutch and a Ford 8.8" axle with 3.73 gears and TracLoc put the ponies to the pavement. A strut tower brace bridges the bay which presents cleanly.
Undercarriage
Generally clean underneath with usual evidence of use, but no glaring defects. We do note some oil film on the rear differential. Power disc brakes are at all four wheels with aftermarket performance units and the dual exhaust flows through Roush mufflers before exiting in back. Suspension has been spiced up with Koni front shocks and 1.5” lowering springs, Lakewood rear shocks with 1.5” lower springs, BMR rear upper and lower control arms, and GT500 sway bars.
Drive-Ability
We are greeted with a pleasing auditory treat compliments of the dual exhaust as we set out onto the test loop. The car has evident power and a responsive throttle, smooth shifting, and very good handling. Not overladen with bells and whistles means fewer things to fail and on our test, all functional items operate as they should and we do a barrel turn and head back to the stable. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
There are few cars cooler than a dark as night five liter Coyote, and this one keeps its mods close to its chest, saving their presence for those times you'll need to corner, stop, and accelerate from a red light. This is a great looking car that runs well and functions beautifully. Get your lasso ready, this wild horse is ready to be wrangled.
