This 1978 Trans Am is not one to miss. This car is a survivor with some tasteful modifications. Under its screaming chicken, placed on the hood, is its factory 6.6-cubic-inch Pontiac 400. This motor was built with an aftermarket carburetor, Comp Cams, an aftermarket intake manifold, and an upgraded Chevrolet replacement water pump for superior cooling. This motor setup is stated to have made just shy of 500 horsepower, which is quite the upgrade from its factory 220 horsepower. When firing up this car, it is unmistakable how much difference this will make: a lopey camshaft and additional exhaust flow make this car drive and sound truly incredible. The Gold paint is in great shape throughout the vehicle. This car retains all its original, rust-free sheet metal. This car is documented with 3 previous owners, with history and receipts dating back to when it was new. The factory build sheet was even found underneath the rear seat all these years later. The Trans Am was built in California and delivered to Oregon, then shipped to Hawaii for several years before being brought back to the Continental states, where it resided with its last caretaker for over 13 years. Most of the engine upgrades were done in his possession with receipts for everything. New Pontiac snowflake wheels were added, and Nitto NT555s were mounted to handle the additional power.
