GR Auto Gallery is excited to present this one-of-a-kind 2017 Dodge Challenger “The Innovator”—a rare piece of modern Mopar history that blends drag-strip spirit with educational purpose. Built as prototype #001 of a proposed 50-unit production run, this Challenger is not just a muscle car—it's a mission statement. Created through a partnership between Dodge, Don "Big Daddy" Garlits, Joe Adams, and artist Kenny Youngblood, “The Innovator” was designed to promote vocational trades and hands-on creativity through the language of horsepower and heritage.

Based on a Challenger T/A and powered by a 392ci HEMI V8 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, it delivers serious performance straight out of the gate. What sets it apart isn't just what's under the hood—it's the story behind the car. With drag-racing-inspired graphics, custom touches, and a pedigree tied to Mopar's 80th anniversary, this build was meant to inspire a new generation of builders. While the Garlits Drag Pak was aimed at the track, this sister car was aimed at the culture, serving as a rolling symbol of American craftsmanship and innovation.

The white exterior is clean and muscular, contrasted by bespoke graphics that echo back to the golden era of drag racing. Inside, it remains focused and purposeful with black cloth seating and a driver-centric layout. Everything about the car is factory-level tight, but the vibe is unmistakably custom.
