GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this rare, low-mileage, highly original 1989 Ford Mustang Saleen Convertible (S302) for your consideration. This rare and highly collectible Mustang was sold new from the legendary Galpin Ford in Southern California. It features a stunning Oxford White exterior complemented by a Grey titanium interior, making it only 1 of 9 with the exact color and features. Powering this Saleen is a 5.0-liter (302 cubic inch) V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, allowing this Saleen to deliver exhilarating performance. It includes a Traction-Lok (posi) differential geared to a 3.55 rear end, Racecraft suspension, Flofit bucket seats, a powered convertible top, and 18-inch modular wheels. Additional features include a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, a three-point strut tower bar, multi-port fuel injection, the factory Pioneer AM/FM cassette player with graphic equalizer, Saleen documentation, a clear Carfax report, and it is numbered #469 of 734 modified by Saleen Autosport for the model year. Only 36,056 original miles and original paint and drivetrain make this Mustang a true collector's piece. As a cherry on top, the glovebox was signed by Steve Saleen at the Saleen Nationals in 2021. Drive it out of our showroom or call us with any questions or for more information! Don't hesitate to call us with any questions or for more information.

The first-generation Ford Mustang was manufactured by Ford from March 1964 until 1973. The introduction of the Mustang created a new class of automobiles known as pony cars. The Mustang's styling, with its long hood and short deck, proved wildly popular and inspired a host of competition. It was introduced on April 17, 1964, as a hardtop and convertible with the fastback version to follow in August 1964. Upon introduction, the Mustang, sharing its platform with the Falcon, was slotted into the compact car segment.
