Collector Grade, 1 of 300, 1,416 Mile 2000 Cobra R 5.4L V8 6-speed Manual
The 2000 Mustang SVT Cobra R is one of the rarest and most hardcore Mustangs ever built. With only 300 units produced, Ford allocated them via a lottery system. Finished in Performance Red Clearcoat, the only color offered, this example has just 1,416 miles and remains in mint, showroom-quality condition, complete with factory plastic seat covers and QC stickers from February 2000. Built for the track, the Cobra R had no A/C, no radio, and no back seat—just pure performance. Its aggressive styling includes a massive rear wing, a unique raised hood for engine clearance, and a front aero splitter. Under the hood is a 5.4L DOHC V8, producing 385 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque, paired with a Tremec T56 6-speed manual and a Ford 8.8” rear end with 3.55 gears and a limited-slip differential. The Bassani X-pipe and Borla mufflers with side-exit exhaust give it an unmistakable sound. Handling is razor-sharp with Bilstein shocks, Eibach springs, and an independent rear suspension, while Brembo vented disc brakes (13” front, 11.7” rear) provide serious stopping power. It rides on the original-equipped 265/40ZR18 BFGoodrich g-Force KD tires. With an original MSRP of approximately $55,000 (~$100K today), the 2000 Cobra R was a no-compromise performance machine. This ultra-low-mileage example stands as one of the finest survivors of Ford's legendary race-bred Mustang.
