Firebird Trans Am GT T-TOP

Description

The fourth Generation Pontiac Firebird came about in 1993 with an attractive outward facelift and nearly 90% all new parts underneath. The smooth fascia and body lines improved aerodynamics, while technology added standard 4-wheel anti-lock brakes, dual airbags, 16” wheels, rack and pinion steering, and overall better suspension characteristics. The top-level sports trim remained the Trans Am packing a torquey V8, available in Coupe, T-top, and Convertible form. To commemorate the original 1969 Pontiac Trans Am, a 25th Anniversary Package was offered to only 2,000 lucky owners in 1994. They were easily identified with matching color schemes as the originals dressed in white with classic blue phoenix bird and blue accent stripe. The anniversary package also included special 25th Anniversary badging and embroidered white interior leather along with white 16” 5-spoke alloy wheels.

Offered here is a beautifully kept 1994 Pontiac Trans Am GT 25th Anniversary Edition Coupe finished in Arctic White with White Leather seating with Blue 25th Anniversary embroidery on the seats and door panels. Powered by its original LT1 5.7L V8 producing 275 horsepower and 325 lb. ft. of torque, mated to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission with optional “Transmission Perform” button on the center console. This converts the electric shift points to higher rpm's while also allowing faster downshifts, providing more aggressive driving characteristics in the right conditions. Performance statistics by Car and Driver showed impressive 0-60 times at 6.1 seconds and a top speed of 153 mph on their test track!

Features and options include air conditioning, power windows/lock/outside adjustable mirrors, tilt steering column, cruise control, intermittent wipers, visor vanity mirrors, power rear hatch release, rear window defrost, fog lamps, and carpeted floor mats. The removable T-top roof panels are lockable and provided storage trays in the rear trunk compartment. In the case of this Trans Am, a subwoofer enclosure has been added fitted with a 8” Memphis Car Audio speaker. Up front, the factory head unit was replaced with a Kenwood AM/FM/CD/Bluetooth unit and auxiliary amplifier hidden in the glove box. All items are easily removable, and the original factory head unit is included in the sale. Also included are T-top sun shapes, original owner's manual, radio remote, and two sets of keys/fobs. The mileage on the odometer reads only 35,527 miles.

Only 2,000 of these 25th Anniversary Package cars were sold in 1994, of which 1,750 were in Coupe form, much like the originals. They remain exceptional road cars with remarkable performance attributes! Hard to believe Pontiac is gone forever, and this car now represents what would have been Trans Am's 55th Anniversary had they continued. All Pontiacs will now be forever considered as collectible, so grab one while they still remain affordable assets! Please call with any questions or to schedule your chance to review in person.
