“302 DZ”
One of the most distinguished Camaros ever was not a Big Block car, instead it was the high revving 302 Cubic Inch V8 that they installed in the first generation Camaros. Fewer engines of the time were capable of producing such great power from such a small displacement and with such a high level of reliability. In fact, the 69 Z/28 sporting the DZ 302 was also and is also a pretty rare find, only just over 20,000 Z/28's were produced out of a total of about 250,000 Camaros for 1969. What we have here is a real gem of a Camaro. The consignor of this car bought the car back in 2012 as you see it. He enjoyed the car and just had a pretty big service completed at the tune of $3,300 at a restoration shop to make the car dialed in. This car is a X77 Z/28 with what appears to be the original engine and drivetrain. I have enclosed pictures of the transmission numbers and engine pad. It is equipped with the Muncie 4-speed, still a solid lifter car with power brakes. The car was restored back in around 2005 and was finished in what is supposed to be Dusk Blue, code 51 but it appears a little darker than that. The original color was Glacier blue. The interior was redone in its original color of blue, which I think is a great color and is in great condition. It was also finished off with some period correct mini-lite wheels. The originals are available if wanted. This car, starts, runs and goes down the road fantastic. There are no leaks, or smoke or funky smells. We welcome any and all inspections. There is plenty of information out there about these X77 Z/28 cars. The body tag and VIN tag were painted over for some reason but the numbers are still visible and we can answer any questions.
