This beautiful Mach 1 is finished in Acapulco Blue Metallic paint paired with the traditional black striping and chrome hood pins, which makes this car stand out in a crowd! The iconic side badges and scooped hood show that this isn't just a regular mustang. With only 42,085 original miles, this Mustang is a true survivor from the muscle car era and has only driven less than 1,000 miles per year. This Mustang spent most of its life in California, which means that the paint as well as the underneath is in great condition. This Mach 1 is powered by a 351 cubic inch “Cleveland” V8 engine and is an original M-code car! 351 M-code cars like this one feature an 11:0:1 compression and produce 300HP. This new engine incorporated parts from the Ford 385 series engine and the Boss 302, particularly the poly-angle combustion chambers and canted valves. The Mach 1 package was only available in the "SportsRoof" fastback body style, this package was not available on the hardtop or convertible models. The 1970 models underwent a few appearance changes including single dual-beam headlights with the position of the previous inner high-beam lights becoming sport lamps, the taillights were recessed on a black honeycomb rear panel, the simulated side scoops behind both doors were removed, the bucket seats were revised, new deep dish sports wheel covers, while the side and rear badging and striping were new. This car speaks for itself and is in amazing condition for being over 50 years old!
