Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this 35th Anniversary 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28! This Camaro is one of just 3,369 Z28s produced in '02, making it a rather rare find. To make it even better, this Z28 shows only 46,131 actual miles on the odometer! This car comes to us dressed in slick Pewter paint in good driver condition with very few minor imperfections. The hood features a curvaceous scoop at its center that immediately catches your eye. The front clip is in exceptional condition and the headlight lenses are crystal clear and like new. Body-colored side mirrors, door handles, and body molding all blend in seamlessly. The windows have a dark tint, as do the glass T-Tops and hatchback glass, creating a great contrast to the Pewter body. At the rear of the car, you'll find a decklid spoiler, clear taillight lenses, a power antenna, and the exit for the 3 1/2” single exhaust. This whole cool package sits atop aluminum wheels from MRR Design wrapped in staggered Nitto NT555 tires that complete the look.
Lift the hood to find a very clean and stock-appearing engine bay that's home to a 5.7 liter LS1 V-8 with some modifications you'd likely miss at first glance. These upgrades include new BMR motor mounts, an MTI camshaft, COMP springs and titanium retainers, a Fast Toys Ram Air unit, and new plugs and wires. Long tube headers lead back to a single 3 ½ “ pipe and a Flowmaster Hush muffler to create an awesome rumble. The LS1 is mated to a factory 6-speed manual transmission that was upgraded last year with a new Monster clutch, Billet flywheel, pressure plate, pilot bearing, and slave cylinder. According to the previous owner, these modifications boosted the horsepower to 400 at the rear wheel, up significantly from the factory rating of 325. With all that power this Z28 requires some serious brakes, hence there are drilled and slotted rotors on all 4 corners with new calipers and stainless flex lines on the front. The stock suspension has also been upgraded with SLP subframe connectors and sway bars, a BMR adjustable Panhard rod, BMR lower arms, and Eibach springs.
Considering the low miles on this Camaro and the number of upgrades to the engine, transmission, suspension, and brakes, it should come as no surprise that the interior is of an equal caliber. Open the driver's door to find an exceptionally clean black interior illuminated by a working courtesy light. The door panels are a stylish mix of vinyl, plastic, and carpet in very good condition and the driver's side features power locks, windows, and mirrors. The black leather bucket seats up front are in good condition with no rips or tears, though there is some minor wear on the left bolster of the driver's seat. The driver's seat is power-adjustable, but the passenger's is manual. The back seat looks like new and is composed of bucket bottoms with a fold-down bench back. A center console divides the front seats and is home to an armrest/storage box, cup holder, ashtray, emergency brake lever, and a new Hurst shifter with a black pattern ball to operate the 6-speed manual transmission. In the center of the dash is a new Kenwood touch-screen stereo with functions galore that sounds all the better thanks to a Kenwood 5-channel power amp and 8” sub-woofer in the rear cargo area. The climate controls are easy to use and they crank out hot heat and cold A/C with a strong fan as well as offering rear defrost. Ahead of the driver is a leather-wrapped steering wheel with stereo controls and an airbag on a tilt column that also has a stalk for cruise control and intermittent wipers. On the dash, there are working gauges for oil pressure, water temp., amps, and fuel as well as a tachometer and speedometer. Ahead of the front passenger is an airbag in the dash and a glovebox that contains the original owner's manual, stereo instructions, and a USB connector. Overhead is a tight cloth headliner and underfoot is a stock dark grey carpet with carpeted floormats to keep it looking nice. Back in the rear of the carpeted cargo area is a space with specially designed slots to hold the T-Tops when you decide to go topless.
The CarFax for this Z28 backs up the low miles but does show minor damage to the front of the car in 2021. This occurred before the most recent owner took possession of the car and we have no details about it. We did inspect the front end and found no evidence of an accident or repair, so it must have truly been minor. These 35th Anniversary Z28s are getting tougher to find these days, let alone one with only 46K miles and a ton of awesome upgrades! This Camaro looks great, sounds incredible, stops on a dime, and runs like a scared rabbit – what more could you ask for? It offers a true sports car experience for a price that won't break the bank! Give us a call today and be the one who gets to put it in YOUR garage!
