1970 Plymouth Road Runner
“A stripped-down, budget-priced street racer for the common man, the Road Runner had proven itself profitable for Plymouth since its 1968 introduction, and the 1970 model made no radical changes. Still standard was a reasonable price of entry, along with the top dog of the 383 four-barrel engines still pushing out 335 horsepower. It was exactly the sort of matter-of-fact, no-nonsense muscle car anybody could love.”-Hemmings.
This 1970 Plymouth Road Runner is finished in its original color of Violet Metallic (paint code FC7) with black vinyl interior with white accents. This Road Runner is powered by a 383 cubic inch motor with a four-speed manual transmission operated by the legendary pistol grip shifter.
Lift the hood which features the factory Hood Performance Treatment option, and you will find a numbers matching 383 cubic inch motor in exceptionally good condition. This motor comes to a quick start with a smooth idle enhanced by a gentle rumble provided by the dual exhaust.
The 14” Magnum 500 style wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A's tires measuring 245/60/R15 in the front and 275/60/R15 in the rear. Braking for this Road Runner is managed by a 4-wheel power drum brake system while the maneuvering is provided by power steering.
There are years of maintenance and upgrade records as well as a partial section of the factory build sheet provided with the car. The Road Runner is the epitome of 1970's muscle, purchase this one to see why.
