1973 Trans Am 455ci - V8, 4 Speed, 1 of 1,420, Brewster Green, PHS Documented

Stock Number: 1937 - This is a very hard to find Brewster Green Trans AM 4 Speed. The Brewster green 73 Trans Am is one of the rarest and most recognized cars of that era. It is the same style car used in the movie "McQ" and driven by Actor John Wayne. These cars are affectionately referred to as the "McQ - Trans AM". If you want one of the most highly desirable Pontiac's available, this is your car. Cars associated with Movies are always in demand and will typically outpace the value of a regular model.

This Trans AM was sold New at County Sales and Service in Selinsgrove, PA. It has been a west coast car for the past 20 years, so very clean and in very good condition overall with thousands spent in New Parts and Labor. The Engine is a hard to find and very desirable 1970 YH Coded 455 with big valve No.15 Heads. It is the only year for a D-Port Hi-Performance 455. There are 40 plus pages of receipts for parts purchased and work done equaling many thousands of dollars spent on this Trans AM. The engine has been rebuilt with all top of the line components. Keith Black Pistons, Speed-Pro Rings, Clevite Bearings, Manley Valves, Fel-Pro Gaskets and more. They used a Comp-Cam reproduction RAM AIR IV Cam, so this should be close to a 400hp engine. It runs and drives outstanding. The Interior is nearly all new with receipts showing a new dash, seat covers and many other interior parts. The front suspension and brakes are also all new with receipts. It is a very solid car with a beautiful interior. It was stripped to bare metal and primed. It does need some small patches in the rear, but the Red Oxide primer floors look very good and really only minor work needed in the rear quarters to get it ready to paint. Far less than a lot of early TA's you come across. This is a very collectible Trans AM with the bonus of all the documented work done. It is a very good value. This is 1 of only 1,420 455 - 4 Speed Trans AM's built. But when you factor in the Brewster Green Color, Air Conditioning, a 4-Speed transmission, the 3.42 rear axle and lastly the Saddle interior, you are probably down to about 1 of 25 maybe produced. So this is a rare car to start with and even more rare with all of the options factored in.
