El Camino SS 396

Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Global West A-arms and trailing arms, QA1 coilovers up front & QA1 adjustable shocks in rear, FAB9 rear end, 396 V8 w/Brodix heads, Nitto tires, slick paint, so much more! Solid tasteful custom with lots of goodies!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body on this El Camino is just as smooth and straight as can be! Built to be a custom show car, this car (truck?) is truly spectacular. Every body line is defined, and this car really pops!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The paint on this El Camino is slick and smooth like calm water. Professionally painted by Custom Concepts of Fresno, CA, there is no questioning the quality of the workmanship. The paint has been kept up since it was built, and looks almost fresh. The yellow looks fantastic on this car, and it really is a head turner!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The black vinyl interior is a fantastic contrast to the exterior color, and nicely matches the black center stripes on the exterior. The interior is in nice, show-ready condition and much like the paint it still looks new. While the interior retains a mostly stock look, the 6-speed shift knob hints at what this car is capable of. Hidden switches for the electric exhaust cut-outs and the line-lock are in the console, which cleans up the interior look a lot.

An SS dash has been installed, as well as a Vintage Air A/C system. With both a set of factory-style floor mats as well as custom yellow carpeted mats included, the interior is in great shape and is fully equipped to set the rest of the car off.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Where to begin! Under the hood is a 396 big block Chevy, equipped with Scat rods, SRP pistons, and Brodix heads. The camshaft is a Comp Cams solid roller, and the lifters, push rods, and rocker arms are also all from Comp Cams. This car is also equipped with a Ron Davis cross flow radiator, electric fans, and a Billet Specialties polished front runner setup. The glorious exhaust rumble on this car (it truly is glorious) come courtesy of Lemons headers and a full Lemons exhaust system complete with Spin Tech mufflers. The electric cut-outs really help you unleash the beast! Equipped with Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes on both front and rear, as well as hydroboost, this puppy will stop on a dime.

The transmission is a Richmond 6-speed with a McCloud RXT twin disc clutch, and the rear end is a FAB9 unit with 3.50 gears, Eaton posi-trac, and Strange 31-spline axles. Finished off with QA1 front and rear suspension sitting on 17” Wheel Vintiques, this little yellow honey is sure to please!

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: Is 'everything' an option? Because that's probably going to be the case. The way this car sounds and drives is the best part by far!

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you hate yellow and having fun, this car is not for you.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This car is turn-key!

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This car is for someone who doesn't mind attention! This may even be for someone who craves it. This car is certain to turn heads because of the exhaust note alone, never mind how gorgeous it is. If you want something unique that doesn't appear “crazy custom” to the naked eye, this is definitely it!
