This Chevelle is a real LS6-equipped SS454 from 1970. Its original driveline is matching numbers, and it sports the original sheet metal, original wheels, bumpers, and stainless trim. The odometer reads 65,841 miles.
When it comes to LS6 history, the special high-compression 454/450 HP Chevrolet big-block V-8 engine was only offered in 1970 in the Chevelle. The big engine's aluminum intake design mandated a special raised hood, which here is the optional factory ZL2 Cowl Induction version complete with hood pins. When closed, it seals to the special Turbo-Jet-decaled air cleaner over the big factory Holley 4-barrel carb. Detailing here is exquisite, with a replacement Gardner dual exhaust featuring correct flat oval tips and retrofitted AIR injection equipment. This is backed by a M22 Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and GY2 3.31 differential with G80 Positraction. This car has JL2 power front disc brakes as well as power steering.
Still, what is most unique here is the combination of sedate-yet-impressive Shadow Gray paint with black SS stripes and a Parchment-tone Strato-bucket seat interior with black carpeting. This interior includes the console with locking center compartment, the SS three-spoke sport steering wheel and the rare UF1 mirror with lamp and associated accent lighting package. The trunk mat with matching spare tire cover is under the decklid, and this car rolls on original 14-inch SS wheels with Firestone Wide Oval tires. Finally, there is a build sheet from the Lakewood plant in Atlanta and documentation from the LS6 registry for provenance. This car is proudly on display here at LRA Auto Museum in Bristol, PA.

Big block power with 565 cubic inches of displacement and lots of friends, this car is wild. Opening on the sight of six American muscle car masterpieces, 1320 seemingly has their work cut out for them in the information department. That's because the collection features such icons as a bright red Chevrolet Bel Air, a yellow Camaro, and what looks like a lifted Chevrolet K10. In fact, the owner seems to have a mighty strong affection for GM and Chevrolet automobiles. On top of all that, there i read more
