Chevrolet released the El Camino in 1959 for consumers who wanted the utility of a pickup truck with the drivability of a standard passenger car. The 1st generation El Camino wagon was originally produced on the Brookwood station wagon chassis, but eventually Chevrolet switched over to the Chevelle wagon chassis. This 1972 Chevrolet El Camino is a very nice example of the 3rd generation El Camino. The exterior of this beautiful El Camino benefits from a repaint in its current Bright Red exterior with Black stripes. The exterior paints shines very well and is in overall very nice condition. The Bright Red exterior is complimented nicely by the truck's excellent Black vinyl top, factory chrome and stainless trim, "SS" badging and rallye wheels wrapped in new raised white letter Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires. The factory-correct Black vinyl interior is in very good condition. Powering this gorgeous El Camino is its numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 backed by a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission perform just as they should with no issue and have no problem pulling the truck down the road with ease. That great V8 sound is produced by the small-block Chevrolet V8 breathing through the true dual exhaust equipped with Flowmaster mufflers. This El Camino is nicely equipped with options such as: power steering, power brakes, aftermarket AM/FM radio w/ cassette, factory air conditioning, heater/defrost, and variable speed wipers. If you are in the market for a turn-key ready El Camino that runs and drives just like it should and would present very well at your local car show or cruise-in, then you will want to take a very close look at this beautiful 1972 Chevrolet El Camino.
