“A Classic Reborn”
GR Auto Gallery is delighted to present this stunning 1975 Pontiac Trans Am, which has
undergone significant upgrades and meticulous care to elevate its performance and aesthetics.
This classic muscle car boasts its original 400ci V8 engine, rebuilt to produce even more power
than its factory specifications. While retaining the original block, this engine has been enhanced
with premium components sourced from Butler Engineering.
The engine modifications include custom domed pistons with forged I-beam connecting rods, a
Comp Cams Extreme Energy camshaft, hydraulic lifters, and PRW roller tip rockers. Additionally,
it features a 60psi oil pump, FlowKooler high volume water pump, Carter high volume fuel
pump, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Holley 750cfm carburetor, and an MSD ignition
system. This comprehensive upgrade ensures that the engine delivers exceptional performance.
Improvements don't stop there. The previous owner invested additional effort and resources to
further enhance this Trans Am. Updates include a new carburetor and distributor for improved
engine performance, interior lights for enhanced visibility and ambiance, and a complete
overhaul of the gauges, ensuring accurate monitoring of the car's vital statistics.
Power is seamlessly transferred to the wheels through the original TH350 automatic
transmission, further preserving the car's authenticity. The engine starts effortlessly and
propels the car down the road with remarkable ease, proving its remarkable power.
In 2016, a comprehensive body restoration was undertaken, culminating in a striking Sterling
Silver repaint that restores the car to its original glory. The iconic Orange Screaming Eagle
hood decal was meticulously replaced, accentuating the car's exterior appeal. The interior,
wrapped in black vinyl, received a refreshing touch with new carpeting during the restoration.
The entertainment system has been upgraded with a new aftermarket radio and speakers,
providing a modern audio experience. A new package tray, steering wheel, and 17-inch Year
One aluminum Pontiac rally wheels wrapped in Toyo tires not only improve aesthetics but also
contribute to the car's overall performance.
The engine compartment has been meticulously stripped and repainted to a pristine condition,
reflecting the previous owner's commitment to detail. New mufflers and correct exhaust tips
have been installed, ensuring that the car's performance is matched by an exhilarating exhaust
note.
This Trans Am comes with a remarkable history, including the original Bill of Sale from Anderson
Motor Company of Aurora, Missouri, the original application for registration and title, and
complete documentation from the Pontiac Historical Society.
In an era when American muscle cars faced challenges from regulatory changes, the 1975
Pontiac Trans Am stood out as one of the last bastions of high-performance driving. With its
exceptional upgrades and meticulous care, this car represents an opportunity to own a
remarkable example of American automotive history. Please don't hesitate to call or email us
