GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this ultra-low mile, 1983 Ford Mustang GL for the collector car world to consider. The car was ordered new by Bob Townsend Ford of Shawnee, OK. The car remained in the Bob Townsend Museum until his passing in 2003 to where the ownership was transferred to a family member where the car remained as part of that collection until it was sold to a family friend in 2020 and then our recent acquisition. The car has been driven just 75 miles and has been amazingly preserved as it was always keep in a climate controlled environment. According the original Dealer Shipper and the original Window Sticker, the car was ordered in Desert Tan Metallic exterior paint over Walnut cloth / vinyl interior. The car is powered by its original 3.6 liter V6 engine, automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. Factory options include: Tinted Glass, rear window defrost, cloth seat inserts, interval windshield wipers, console with Selectshift automatic transmission shifter, 14 inch wheels, power steering, power brakes with front disc, Selectaire airconditioning, AM/FM radio / stereo, passenger side hand remote mirror control, and turbine style wheel covers.

Today, the car remains exactly as it was ordered and in all original condition. It is fully documented with: The original dealer shipper order, original window sticker, Marti Report, recent service receipt documenting $3800.00 dollars in services received to bring the car to road worthy, a great article highlighting the story of Bob Townsend and his museum, Affidavit of Fact documenting the 2020 sale of the Mustang, a clean CARFAX, copy of the original MSO, copy of the original Oklahoma application for title, odometer disclosure, etc.
