2013 Dodge Challenger R/T

For consignment, a low mileage, (24,395), title verified mile example of the 2013 Challenger R/T reboot showing some modern muscle but in a one of 1,103 built retro throwback color of Hemi Orange for the R/T and SRT.  This example is in excellent condition and sports plenty of options and power, making it a high performer making more horses than stock thanks to Kooks headers, a cold air intake, and a tune by Evans Performance.  Oh, and did I mention it's a menacing looker as well with the lowered stance and plenty of interior creature comforts and a cruising attitude far removed from the muscle cars of yore.

Exterior
I'm absolutely crazy over the color of this car...a true retro throwback...Hemi Orange.  This orange hue bathes the body and shows as new with a few minor chips that one must look very hard to find.  Looking much like the throwback to the 70's version we see dual HID headlights, the inboards being marker lights, within an elongated oval grille all in menacing black surrounds.  Meanwhile a body matching neoprene bumper and black chin spoiler hovering just above the tarmac.  This giant lower air dam increases downforce and helps cool the brakes.  As we move our eyes to the passenger compartment we glide over the raised center hood, complete with functional scoops.  The roofline is rakish and looks like it's moving forward as the car just sits there.  Black frameless glass and tinted windows along with sporty body matching side view mirrors allow you to see where your competition is and most likely will stay!  Drawing the attention of our eyes is the twin R/T striping in matte black that races rearward from a point on the front fenders and culminates with snappy R/T lettering.  A chromed racing style gas cap dresses the driver's rear quarter and a small lip spoiler is on top of the flat rear deck.  More crash test dummy neoprene makes up the aero rear bumper and roll pan that shows dual chromed rectangular exhaust tips peeking out from the bottom.  Large 20-inch blacked out Scat Pack wheels are wrapped by gummy black wall radials and on all 4 corners accentuating the lower body cladding, all in black.

Interior
Race inspired broadcloth covered high back buckets have light charcoal inserts and smooth charcoal black exaggerated bolsters.  Side airbags are here as well as adjustable headrests and nice white stitching also highlights these seats, with the driver's being power actuated.  In back a 2 plus 2 bench in the same motif and in excellent condition is seen.  A center console races forward between the buckets and has a glovebox, lit cup holders and the upgraded Barton Racing shift lever.  Rising from this center is a mid-dash which has climate control knobs and the LED screen for the Bluetooth, radio, and multi-CD changer.  In front of the driver is a cascade of white-faced analog gauges under a squared off design eyebrow visor.  Above is a nice tight headliner and below is charcoal gray pristine carpeting.  

Drivetrain
Under the hood is a 5.7 Liter V8 Hemi which in stock trim puts out an amazing 375hp.  This mighty elephant is fed by EFI and has been tuned with a Diablo Trinity tuner by Evans Performance.  The electronic throttle response is upgraded with a Pedal Command unit and a Moroso 180 degree thermostat and PCV catch can has been installed.  Bolted to the back is a TR6060 6-speed manual transmission.  A 3.90 rear axle is on and is a Getrag limited slip version.

Undercarriage
Appearing as like new with rust free gray steel making up the unibody and flooring, there is no rust and little road dirt on this underbelly.  No rust, no drips, no errors for the bottom end of the engine or transmission.  Power disc brakes are all around as is independent suspension with Hotchkis lowering springs and a Stage 1 rear Hot-Not kit keep you hugging the corners nicely.  Kooks long tube headers and an SLP Loudmouth exhaust sans catalytic converters is in charge of spent fossil removal and to help create a wonderful roar.

Drive-Ability
As expected it fired right up and ran like a champ with worry free power, shifting and great handling, something the muscle of the 70's did not have.  A nice overall example that will throw you back in the seat with anything more than a tickle of the go pedal.

Retro styling, creature comforts, and plenty of muscle from the 5.7 liter mill takes us back in looks but forward in performance and reliability.  Throw in some HID lighting and several convenience options and we have a car!
