Description

1972 Chevrolet Camaro

Car History

The second-generation Chevrolet Camaro was produced by Chevrolet from 1970 through the 1981 model years. It was introduced in the spring of 1970. When Car & Driver Magazine tested a small block one in May of 1971 they stated, “It's a Camaro like none before.”

It was longer, lower, and wider than the first-generation Camaro. GM engineers have said the second generation is much more of "A Driver's Car" than its predecessor.

The 1972 Chevrolet Camaro we have in stock at Adventure Classics is a complete Rotisserie Restoration with no expense spared complete with a LS engine, custom interior with a Dakota Digital Dash, and a new silver paint job!

Mechanical

Under the hood of our Camaro is not the engine you should expect, as it is a later model LS 6.0 Chevrolet engine, black intake manifold with fuel rails and trottle body, black and polished finned valve covers, stainless headers, power steering, power disc brakes, stainless tube headers, polished ram air fresh air system, air conditioning, with all sitting in a clean and detailed engine compartment.

All this power is transmitted to the rear via an automatic transmission and if you look underneath you will also see it has a 10-bolt rear end and rolls on polished Riddler alloy mag wheels and General Altimax RT performance radial tires.

Interior

The interior is all new but looks as it did back then with the new black bucket seating with matching rear seats and carpeting and side panels, black steering wheel, center console with the Horseshoe shifter, but with upgrades such as the factory dash with a complete Dakota Digital Dash and air conditioning.

Exterior

The bright Chevrolet Silver Metallic paint job is brand new and looks super on the body, fenders, rear quarter panels, and rear spoiler. In addition it has the full length Z28 striped on the hood and trunk, the front chin spoiler, iconic egg crate front grill, full chrome front and rear bumpers, and body colored racing side mirrors.

The styling gives it the performance image that the original low and mean looking Camaros always had.

Conclusion

These second-generation Camaros like the restored 1972 Chevrolet Camaro we have at Adventure Classics, have always been collectible muscle cars, and ours is even more so with the upgraded LS power and modifications that make it a very good driver and sporty car to cruise the roads on today.
