GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this stunning 1966 Chevy Chevelle! This head-turning beast comes in a brilliant clean black paint job, complemented by a clean black interior. Powering this American icon is a strong running 496 cubic inch built V8 motor mated to a TH400 built automatic transmission - there are less than 100 miles on the build since it has been completed. The massive 496 was properly dyno tuned by Fastime Racing Engines and we have dyno sheets on file. A couple of things to note on this build are a Comp Cam, MSD ignition system, Pro systems carb, and much much more. The Chevrolet Chevelle is a mid-sized automobile that was produced by Chevrolet in three generations for the 1964 through 1978 model years. Part of the General Motors (GM) A-body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. Body styles include coupes, sedans, convertibles, and station wagons. SuperSport versions were produced through the 1973 model year and Lagunas from 1973 through 1976. After a four-year absence, the El Camino was reintroduced as part of the new Chevelle lineup in 1964. The G-body Monte Carlo, introduced in 1970, also used a platform that was based heavily on the Chevelle platform, although it was lengthened ahead of the firewall. The Malibu, the top-of-the-line model through 1972, completely replaced the Chevelle nameplate for the redesigned, downsized 1978 model year.
