“Built for Hot Rod Power Tour”
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle/Nomad wagon. The car was built for a Hot Rod Power cruise that went from Milwaukee, WI to Kissimmee FL in 2005. The car is powered by what appears to be a 402 v8 that is believed to be built into a 427 paired to a 400 TH automatic transmission. Also under the Cowl Inductinon hood you will see headers, Demon Carb sitting on top of a Holley high rise intake, Flame Thrower coil and power steering. The car rides on new American Racing wheels. It is finished in silver over a black interior that is neat and tidy. The 427 breathes through full length dual exhaust that sounds awesome.
The Chevelle was a mid-size model that was produced over a few generations starting in 1964. The second generation is arguably the most popular and featured a distinctly sculpted “coke bottle” body with tapered fenders and a rear quarter kick up. When people think about muscle cars the Chevelles produced from 1968-72 jump right to mind. The Chevelle 2nd generation was the GM A-body perfect size for anything you wanted to stuff under the hood to make your ride jump off the line when commanded to do so. Their bold lines leave a lasting, timeless style of the American muscle era.
