2010 Ford Mustang GT Premium

The first Mustang, a convertible model, was meant to be used exclusively for a dealership tour. However, the car was accidently sold to a customer in Newfoundland. The customer was a pilot who drove it for 10,000 miles and eventually traded the car back to Ford. The company was able to preserve the model and it's on display at the Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. On the opening day, 22,000 units were sold and dealerships were taking waiting lists for several days after.

For consignment an R titled car from California. This car has the R title because it sustained front and rear end damage in an accident which has been repaired, but some alignment issues persist, particularly in the drivers front. 68,760 miles clocked, it comes with an SCT X4 professional tune kit and a Ford performance exhaust.

Exterior
Bathed in Performance White, this car is in good condition with regards to the white paint. As noted, there are some panel alignment issues in the front, particularly involving the driver's side in the front of the car, hence the “R” title. Correct black badging as well as a black wrap around trim which encircles the entire car adds some contrast to the white. Tinted glass, and a small rear spoiler have been optioned on. 19 inch 5 spoke mag style wheels with a Mustang badge in the center are wrapped with 245/45ZR19 radials on all 4's. Noted are some touch ups to the leading edge of the driver's door and A-pillar.

Interior
Power leather seats, in bucket form in front, and a 2 plus 2 rear bench are covered in charcoal leather have a white cashmere leather stripe stitched into each center. Leather also wraps the steering wheel and shifter which has a machined aluminum knob atop. My Color gauges and ambient lighting throughout the cabin, allow the driver to customize the glow color with driving mode or just personal preference. A Shaker 500 radio, Sync and USB port are embedded into the central dash which has a metallic paint that comes with the GT premium package. Door panels are trimmed differently with the premium package and have leather inserts and galloping horse badges. Carpet and headliner, both in black, are nice and tidy.

Drivetrain
The correct 4.6 liter V8 has electronic fuel injection, and has an aftermarket tuner which increases the horsepower significantly. A Tremec 5-speed manual transmission throws power rearward to a Ford 8.8-inch 3.73 geared rear.

Undercarriage
All strong and sturdy frame and rockers, with plenty of ground effects panels coverings to produce a free air flow undercarriage. Power disc brakes are on the front and rear. The suspension includes independent coil springs up front, and 4 link with coil springs in the back. A Ford racing exhaust is attached and appears virtually new.

Drive-Ability
Plenty of power, smooth shifting, and a nice ride sum it up. It can be lightning quick, or just a comfortable cruiser. Sufficient of room for 4 and the heated leather is a nice touch.

Save for the front panel alignment, this car presents nicely, runs well, and has a very clean interior. A good value, and certainly worth the price of admission just for the sound of the throaty exhaust. Whiskey for my friends and gas for my horses.
