A barn find is a classic car, aircraft or motorcycle that has been rediscovered after being stored, often in derelict condition. The term comes from their tendency to be found in places such as barns, sheds, carports and outbuildings where they have been stored for many years. The term usually applies to vehicles that are rare and valuable, and which are consequently of great interest to collectors and enthusiasts despite their poor condition.

For consignment the definition of barn find. Owned by a good natured restorer who wanted to complete the project to create his wife's dream car, however time got in the way, and this car was ready to go out to the shop for paint, then come back to complete the restoration, but it never happened. New undercarriage parts were put on, body was sanded filled and smoothed, but that was all she wrote as to this car.

Exterior
Originally Dark Moss we now see mostly bare metal. This car arrived with a pile of extra parts, and as one can see several are currently missing from the car. We have not inventoried this pile, nor has the consigner said or not said what exact parts are there and not there, so if you want to take this project on, you'll need to first do an inventory.

Interior
In short needs a total restoration, much missing and what is there is not definitively salvageable.

Drivetrain
A dusty, rusty 302ci V8 sits in the engine bay, and it is not known if it runs. According to the VIN plate there is a 3-speed automatic transmission attached to the rear of the engine.

Undercarriage
Truly one of this car's best qualities, as most of the restoration has been performed here, although some of the frame repairs are questionable as to structural integrity, and parts left out during the repair process, just are not there.

This is truly a project, and an extensive one, that will first and foremost require research as to exactly what is here, and what needs to be found. Then the work can begin in earnest! Have garage space? We here at Classic Auto Mall can fill it…
