1995 Ford

Mustang GT Convertible

Description

For consignment, a 1995 GT Convertible that has a Cervini body kit, a racing supercharger, GT40 heads and headers, an AODE 4-speed automatic, and a black and saddle leather interior.

Exterior
A Cervini “Stalker “ body kit is on and we see this bathed in white lowers, and black uppers.  There is a sticker applied stripe that has a V shape in its midsection just below the door mirrors on either side.  A large dual scooped hood in black, takes the handoff from the front of the car where we see a single headlight on either side, and a central open grille with the galloping horse that appears to be floating in the center.  A lower radiator opening has extra openings on either side for increased airflow.  This bumper wraps around the front quarters, and these run to the doors and rear of the car.  A flared rocker panel, and another oval opening creating the hockey stick cove on the rear quarter is seen.  On back, aero designed taillights in stacked horizontal triple form, are mounted just below the trunk deck that sports a spoiler.  On top is a newer black canvas convertible top, and when it's down a black sculpted plastic tonneau with dual bumps for the seats covers the rear passenger area, and gives this car an even sportier look.  18-inch FR500 shiny wheels are on all 4 corners, and are wrapped with 265/35ZR18's in front and 285/35ZR18's on back, all from 2006.

Interior
Beautifully sculpted two tone doors are molded from vinyl and sport oval design cues.  The uppers are black and lowers in saddle, all controls are neatly inserted into the armrest.  Slipping inside some two tone leather with saddle uppers and bolsters, and black tuck and roll inserts.  These are high backed buckets in front, and a 2+2 bench in the back.  When the plastic tonneau covering its on the back seats become inaccessible.  A center console races past the buckets, on the way forward houses a rounded saddle armrest and glovebox, switches for the top and fog lighting, and up in front just below the dash the shifter.  This magically melts into the dash center where it rises housing the stereo, temp knobs, and a CD player.  On the dash top are dual Kenne Bell gauges for boost, and fuel pressure, mounted in a semi circular dash topper.  Then dual rounded eyebrows radiate from the center and these create the instrument cluster on drivers side, and glovebox and upper dash front for the passenger, all in two tone black and saddle.  Tan clean carpeting covers the floors.

Drivetrain
To the heart of the matter, and as the hood is opened it reveals a nifty airbrushed eagle artwork looking down on to the mill.  This mill is not your typical 5.0 liter as it has EFI and a Ford Racing supercharger.  Our consignor states this puts out 400hp, however there is no documentation to back this up.  On back an AODE 4-speed automatic transmission with a shift kit and a 3.27 8.8 inch TracLoc rear axle spins the tires.  GT40 heads and headers also add to the ponies.  All is looking good under this hood.

Undercarriage
Independent coil springs for the front, and  a 4 link with coil springs for the back provide the ride.  Upgraded shocks and brakes along with frame stiffeners and HP anti sway bars provide the handling for this beauty.  Power dIsc brakes are on front and rear and a Flowmaster exhaust is on for the exhale.

Drive-Ability
Certainly impressive with the extra horses and the Cervini body kit, along with the plastic tonneau definitely puts a smile on your face when you press the loud pedal.  Good bias free braking, and wonderful handling come along with this car.  The exhaust was music to my Motörhead ears, and a few frowns were experienced:  The odometer was not working, the AC blew warm, the horn wasn't tooting, and the power mirrors did not adjust.

A racy version of the '95 GT Mustang, with engine upgrades, suspension upgrades, and body stiffeners on the undercarriage.  Drives well and looks great with the top up or down.
